Workshop in partnership with PFR - Pricing and Business Models and Collaboration with Doctors
PFR has asked for support in organising two workshops for start-ups as part of their Pioneer School and Healthcare Investment Hub programmes.
The workshop aimed to develop participants' skills in key areas such as creating effective pricing strategies, building business models and working effectively with doctors, which is essential for medical and technology startups.
The aim of the Medical Innovation Institute (MII) was to run interactive workshops to help start-ups:
Understand the fundamentals and pricing strategies for health products, and implement them in their projects.
Develop effective business models for growing medical start-ups.
Learn how to establish and develop long-term partnerships with doctors, taking into account their needs and challenges.
Project implementation
The workshops within the Pioneers School - Pricing Strategy were held according to the following agenda:
Introduction to the basics of pricing (including cost-plus, value-based and subscription strategies).
Group exercises to create a pricing strategy for their own products.
Team presentations and feedback from MII experts on selected strategies.

How pricing influences purchasing decisions in the health sector.
Pricing as a tool to build the market value of a product.
Health Investment Hub workshop - Collaborating with Doctors and Business Models took place according to the following agenda:
Workshop I - Working with Doctors:
Understanding doctors' needs, building partnerships and best practice.
Examples of successful collaborations with doctors and analysis of their impact on the market success of products.
Workshop II - Business Models:
Introduction to Biotech, MedTech and HealthTech business models.
Case studies demonstrating business scaling and international expansion strategies.
Results
As a result of the workshop, participants not only increased their knowledge of pricing strategies and business models, but also gained tools for effective collaboration with doctors. Participants appreciated the practical approach and interactivity of the workshop, which allowed them to test new solutions on an ongoing basis.
